Welcome to God Today. I’m Bob Mazeroski with my wife Tracy. We pastor New Life Church in Weirton West Virginia. Today I want to encourage you to burn for God. The Bible shows us in Leviticus 6 hat God told Moses to have Aaron keep the offering on the altar burning, to never ever let the fire go out. And it’s so important that you and I burn with the power of God and the fire of God that is alive inside us.
And so I want to ask you simply: are you burning today? And I encourage you to spend time with God today. The Bible says that just like Aaron was that Old Testament priest, we, in the New Covenant, are New Testament priests, and we’re a sacrifice to the one-time sacrifice, the Lord Jesus Christ. So how much more should you and I burn for the things of God, having been washed in the blood and saved from our sin and set free of everything that used to have us bound.
So burn today, and you can do that by time in prayer, time in God’s Word, recounting the victories God’s given you in your life, and out of that communion with God, you will be on fire and the world around you will know that.
So we want to pray that over you today. Lord, we just ask you that these watching us today, Lord, would just be ignited and burn at a greater level. Father, that you would send them into the places of this earth to burn for you, Lord. I pray that they would have a fresh hunger for the Word, for the presence of God, and we just ask you, Lord, allow them to burn like they never have. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
