God can take the bad and the messy that's placed on us, and He can use it to bless the multitude.

I love how God can turn any situation, anything whatsoever into a blessing. And He doesn’t just turn it into a blessing for us, but He uses it to bless the people that are under our influence as well. God can take the bad and the messy that’s placed on us, and He can use it to bless the multitude.

I was thinking about the story of Joseph. He was a dreamer. He had so many dreams and things that he was so excited and in his zeal told his brothers who were just really jealous and decided they were going to actually kill him. And then they chose to downgrade that into selling him into slavery, thankfully for him. But over the course of time, he became favored in these places. Even though his brothers sold him into slavery, the Lord chose that time and that place to put favor on his life.

He ended up being in a situation where he was second after Pharaoh, in charge of his house and everything under his control. When a famine came, the Lord gave Joseph the strategy to save him and his family and the entire area against this famine. And at this time, he finds himself face-to-face with the very brothers that sold him into slavery. And in Genesis 50:20, he says to them, “As for you, you meant evil against me. But God meant it for good to bring it about that many people should be kept alive as they are today.”

You know, God can take any situation in our lives and He can redeem it.  When something feels hopeless or it’s not going to get better, rest assured, God’s not done yet. Not only can He bring light into your darkness, but He can change the headline of your story and He can use it to heal others with it as well. You know, I want to be someone who looks at the hopeless situations and the discouraging times of my life and say, “I know God’s not done yet. He’s got something more and He’s got something better.”

So I want to just invite God to come in and do what only He can do in our lives. God, I just thank you that when we are faced with tests and trials and things that we never asked for, you aren’t caught by surprise, Lord. You can use those very moments, God, to set us up for success. And not only us, but everyone that we know, God. And so I thank you, God, that there’s no hopeless situation for you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
