Hi, I’m Jeri Hill with Together In The Harvest. Welcome to God Today. Today, I want to share with you a very simple scripture that every single one of us probably know and it’s John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” This scripture means a lot to me, because when I was lost and in sin and not in church at all, didn’t know anything about the Bible, there was a billboard that had John 3:16 written on it and as I was passing by it, I heard God say to me, “For I so loved you, for I so loved you.”
That whole scripture is about Him loving us but He loves so much that He doesn’t want any of us to perish. it took me a while to give my life to Christ. It was a few more weeks after that but ever since then, I pray for billboards when I pass by them: Father, use it to touch peoples’ lives as they’re passing by. God, use it to draw them in, to captivate their life, to know that Jesus has a plan for them, that Jesus loves them, that He died for them.
And then the second part of that scripture is when I memorized it, I realized that I wanted the heartbeat of God in me. I wanted to share that scripture with other people, with lost people, how much He loves them and the plan that He has for their lives.
So, when we think about that scripture it’s not just for us who are saved and the realization that Jesus died for us. But we’ve got to share it with those around us.
Father, I pray that you give them a burden to reach out and to share that God loved them so much that He gave His Son for them. God, use them to bring that message to people around them. In your name, Jesus. Amen.
