Our faith can cause things that are not to come into being as they will be.

Faith is such an important aspect of our walk with the Lord. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for; the convictions of things not seen.” Hebrews 11 is the chapter that’s known as the Faith Hall of Fame.

These are the Abrahams who God called into a foreign land into something completely new. The Sarahs, the woman to conceive far beyond childbearing years. Moses, Noah, Enoch, you name it. The greats. They’re in there and they’re all noted for their faith.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for. The word assurance means firm foundation. It’s a steadfastness, a resolution. And the convictions of things not seen. The conviction is our proof, that by which we test other things. Our faith can cause things that are not to come into being as they will be. Our faith is our yes to what God has promised and our ability to see what He’s showing us and say, “Yes Lord, I see that. I know that it’s true, because you said it, and that’s gonna settle it for me.”

And so I want to just pray over us today, that we have the ability to just increase our faith. That we are willing to believe that everything that God says is going to come to pass. So, Lord, I thank you that you are a faithful God. What you say is so true, Lord, and all we have to do is partner and agree with what you’ve said. Lord, I thank you for the promises over each and every one of us. Lord, I thank you that you’re continuing to increase and grow our faith and our trust in you.
