Hi, my name is Kate Muguira and I’m a part of the GOD TV team, and I want to welcome you to God Today. I want to talk about how can we stay in perfect peace, because guys, life is not perfect. There are things constantly. The Bible tells us that we’re going to go through trials and tribulation. But here’s the thing. Here’s the thing that we have as Christians that nobody else has, because we have the Holy Spirit living on the inside of us. We have perfect peace. And so how do we keep perfect peace?
There’s actually two times where God has given me this picture of perfect peace. And it was one time I was leading worship and I said, I’m a worship leader, and I was, we were in a moment of just like prophetic and spontaneous worship. And I just started singing this out and He just started giving me this revelation. And then another time I was praying for a friend who was going through a really hard time going through anxiety and depression. And I just got this picture for them of perfect peace. And so we see a tornado or hurricane, we see this the, where the winds are going and there’s chaos around, right? Like it’s just stirring up chaos. And I know times of my life where I feel like it is just chaos and I can’t hold on to anything. I, there’s nothing to hold on to. And I, and I saw this picture of all this chaos storming around, but in the middle, like this is literally science, is in the middle of that storm is what? It’s the eye of the storm. And the eye of the storm is perfect peace. So if somehow you can get in the middle of a tornado or hurricane, you can see in the middle of that, is perfect peace. And the Lord gave me revelation of who He is, that He is in the middle of our chaos. He is in the middle of the winds and the storms around us. He’s in the middle of it with us. He doesn’t leave us, but He has peace for us. And here’s the thing. All we have to do is align with His peace. What, sometimes that looks like, giving Him our burdens.
The Bible tells us to give, cast our cares on Him, give Him our burdens. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. That’s what He has for you. He has peace for you. And so we don’t have to strive for peace. We don’t have to strive for His presence. Striving is when we take it into our own hands and we’re trying to make peace or we’re trying to find rest, but really it’s already on the inside of us. And all we have to do is to align with it. We see that the fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness. Like I can list all of them for you. But peace is one of the fruit of the Spirit that if you have the Holy Spirit, you have peace and we just gotta align with it. But here’s the, here’s the secret. Here’s the key. Here is how. You ready? Here’s how we access the peace, I’m about to tell you. Isaiah 26 verses three through four I’m going, read it to you, or I’m gonna say it to you. “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because” here’s the word, “they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever for the Lord himself is the rock eternal.” The key is trusting in God. Do you trust Him in your situation that you’re going through? Are you trusting in the Lord? The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, it’s one of my favorite scripture verses. It’s “Lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways, trust in him and he’ll direct your paths.” Trust in him. When we don’t understand why is this storm going around us? I don’t know. I don’t know how to figure it out. I don’t know what to do. I feel chaotic! Trust, trust, and put your hope in Him.
I just want to pray for you today. Father, I just lift up anybody who feels chaos, who’s trying to figure out what to do in life. Who’s trying to grab a hold of their life and figure it out. Father, I just pray peace. And from Your peace comes revelation. From Your peace comes wisdom. So I pray an increase of the Spirit of revelation, the Spirit of wisdom in their lives today. And I pray peace abundantly overflowing from the inside out, Lord. I just pray, if you would, even right now, just open up your hands and surrender, just surrender. All those things that you’ve been holding onto: your job, your kids, your spouse, your finances, your house, buying a new house, where to rent, what to do. If you’re moving, whatever it is, just let it go. Let it go. And Father, we give it to You in Jesus’ name, Amen.
