You're not only holy, righteous, and redeemed, but you're a saint.

So for years, I don’t know if you’ve ever struggled with this, but I struggled with temptation, moral temptation in the area of lust. And that’s something that is pervasive throughout the world today. Even if you’re avoiding it on the internet and on TV and in movies, you might be driving down the road and you see something that just triggers you. I struggled with that, but you know, the Lord released this revelation into my life. And it’s 2 Corinthians 5:21 where it says, “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”  And so Jesus, although He never sinned, He became that on the cross and killed it for us, and He gave us His righteousness.

And in Hebrews chapter 10, I challenge you to read this whole chapter in context, because it’s super powerful. But in verse two it says, it’s talking about how the old sacrifices in the Old Covenant were not good enough. And it says, “Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered because the worshipers having once been cleansed, would no longer have had consciousness of sins.”  And the Lord released this revelation to me. He’s like, you’re righteous, just like Abraham believed God, and it was credited, or reckoned to him as righteousness.

So you have believed in God more specifically in this new and greater covenant. You believed in Christ. And if you’re in Christ, He has released that impartation, that imputation of Christ’s righteousness. It’s imputed righteousness. And you should no longer have consciousness of sins. It’s now a consciousness about love. And in verse 10, and again, read the whole chapter in context, this is super powerful. It says,”By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Christ once for all.”  And in verse 12 it says, “But having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God.”  And in verse 14 it says, “For by one offering, He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.”

So I challenge you today to see yourself, if you’re in Christ, as holy, righteous, and redeemed. And it actually says in 2 Corinthians 5:21, and before that it talks about how He’s actually redeemed the whole world. And so He is inviting everyone into this. So you are today, you’re not only holy, righteous, and redeemed, but you’re a saint. Where a religious mindset would say saints are a specific, reserved people; they have to do something, now Christ has done it for you.

So I pray in the name of Jesus Christ over your life today as the Holy Spirit’s touching you right now, I pray for that revelation of righteousness, holiness, sanctification, and sainthood in Christ. And now I challenge you in Jesus’ name to not be tempted, but to realize even if you do sin, you’re still righteous. He’s not going to take away that righteousness, but now He’s going to reverse the polarity of your heart into saying, “Oh, this thing that I could do. Oh man, I’m really tempted to do that.”  No, actually it’s reversed now to where you could do it and you’d still be righteous, but because you’ll still be righteous, why would you want to do that? You’re righteous all the time in Christ.

Thank you, Holy Spirit, for changing our mindset from temptation of things we’re not allowed to do into love, and how could I ever do that to such a loving Savior who’s completely redeemed me through the cross? So Father, today, we thank you for that revelation. We thank you for your righteousness. We thank you for changing our mindset from one where we’re orphans and we’re tempted to sin into one where we’re righteous, redeemed sons and daughters of the Most High, and now we can love through Christ freely. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
