You're going to have to leave your culture and come into the Kingdom. We have to begin to learn God's way. We have to learn about His country. We have to learn His culture. We have to learn how He does things.
I encourage you to reach deep into the Word of God and pull out those keys for breaking fear off of your life. Don't stand for it. Don't be in a defensive posture. Position yourself as a child of God who has all the resources of Heaven at their fingertips.
We see in the Bible in James 4:8, which tells us to draw near to God and He is going to draw near to us. That is the promise in the Word of God. When we get intentional with God, He shows up. He does not forsake you or leave you.
The victory is that you're learning to trust God in every area of your life. The victory is that God is always working in upgrade and acceleration when we allow Him and we turn our self-protection over.
Do you find that you try to answer too quickly? Do you try to respond before you’ve heard the matter out? You know, there's always more than one side. The Bible says be slow to speak and quick to listen.
In worship, don't just worship the worship. Don't just worship the wonderful songs that are written and the things we get to do and to declare and show our zeal. But it's actually about encountering the face of the almighty God.
We are rallying around the living God and the Holy Spirit cements us together. So that means that we can have diversity and it means we can have differences of opinion. And yet He still is creating us into this family, into this bride of Christ.
If you will open up your mouth and begin to give God praise, no matter what's going on in your life, if you will begin to echo back to God His reputation, as we see it in His Word - I promise you, friend, you're going to release breakthrough over every category of your life.
I want to challenge you in your expectation and in your curiosity for Him today. So often if we’re not careful, we get kind of stagnant in one part of who God is, and we get comfortable there and stop looking for Him in every area of our lives.
I think sometimes as Christians, we get bored, we just kind of get into a little lull and we lose our curiosity. We lose our intrigue. We stop asking big questions. We forget to look at the stars of the night and just wonder at the vastness of what's going on. We lose that. I want to encourage us that when we want to hear the voice of the Lord, what we have to learn to protect is our ability to be intrigued, to be curious, to be in awe, and in wonder.
When we look at our lives, we don't have to worry and carry the burden of “What do I do next? What am I supposed to do?” We just offer our lives as instruments of righteousness and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us, to guide us, and to play the high notes and the low notes of our lives.
If you think about it, unity doesn't mean agreeing. Unity doesn't mean that we're always in agreement, that we're always doing the same thing the same way and we're kind of like a bunch of robots. Unity means that regardless of our differences, regardless of the way things appear that we do it together.
You may be working in an executive job. You can be an entrepreneur or even a barista. Consider yourself Kingdom-employed by Jehovah Jireh in season and out. So no matter what you are doing for provision, know that it is God Who is your provider.
Did you know that your testimony never gets old? Because it never gets old, it never loses power. The Bible is full of testimonies from people of all ages where God has stepped in and turned impossibilities around.
