God looks at you and me in the spirit, if you have made Jesus your Lord, you’re a brand new person.

Welcome to God Today, I’m Andrew Wommack and today I just want to share with you, that God loves you more than you have ever understood.  I know there are some people right now saying, “You don’t know me, you don’t know what I have done, how could God love me?”  Well, the answer to this was what changed my life.  I heard all of my life that God loved me and that God had plans for me.  But, the problem with me was that I had looked at myself on the outside and I looked at myself and my performance the things that I did.  And I also would search my mental and emotional part, and I knew that I had unforgiveness and I was timid and I was shy, and I just had all of these things.  And I thought that was the way that God saw me.  But, in John 4:24 it says, “God is a spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth”.  God is a spirit and God is looking at me, not in my body and not in my mental / emotional part, but there is a third part to me – the spirit man.  And that spirit part is the part that was completely changed.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.  Old things are passed away, behold all things are become new”.   And that’s not talking about my body.  I didn’t become a woman, I’m still a man.  My body didn’t change, it’s not glorified yet, it’s gonna be changed.  And it’s not talking about my soul because you know what?  If I wasn’t too smart before I get saved, I’m still not too smart after I got changed unless I get in and educate myself.  My thoughts, my memories didn’t change, my body and my soul are not the part of me that changed.  But, there is a third part of me, the spirit, and the spirit is the part that became completely new.  And since God is a spirit and God looks at you and me in the spirit, if you have made Jesus your Lord, you’re a brand new person.  And because of that God sees you differently than most people see themselves.

You look in a mirror and you see wrinkles, or gray hairs, or ugly, or all kinds of things – fat – and whatever, and you’re displeased.  God is aware of that, but he’s not focused on your physical body, he’s not focused on your mental / emotional part, he’s seeing you in the spirit.  And 1 John chapter 4, verse 17, says, “Herein is our love made perfect that we may have boldness in the day of judgment because as He is [speaking of Jesus] so are we in this world”.  You in your spirit right now are completely pure and clean just like Jesus.  And because of that, you can accept His love because “He has made you accepted in the beloved” (Ephesians 1:6).

Father, I pray that you open up people’s hearts to this, help them to understand what I’ve talked about.  Use this truth to set them free and that they would experience God today!
