Hi, I’m David Demian. I was born in Cairo, Egypt, now live in Vancouver, Canada. I am part of Watchmen For The Nations. We want to welcome you to God Today. I wanted to share this with you. I was reading this verse in Matthew 11, it says, “Come to me, all you who are weary, and tired, and laden. Come and put the yoke on you and I will give you rest. My yoke is light and easy.” Sometimes we think we are changing burdens. I give Him my burden and He gives me His burden. Actually, it is not this way. The yoke is a piece of wood that they used to use on the farm when they brought an untrained animal and put it with a trained animal. The whole concept is that they want the untrained animal to begin to be trained. The yoke is a piece of wood they put on the necks of the two animals. The untrained animal follows the steps of the trained animals.
I want to put that thought with you today. Yoke yourself with the Lord. Say, “Lord, you are with me. I am walking with you. If the Holy Spirit puts in your spirit a little caution, a little thing – follow that. That is you training your spirit to follow the Holy Spirit. Say that from the beginning of your day today. “Lord, I am yoked with you. You are not going to go anywhere without me and I am not going to go anywhere without you. We are going to tie ourselves together.” You will find your day is different. You don’t have to make decisions. He is making the decisions. You are following Him. Whenever you are trying to pull Him somewhere He doesn’t want to go, you will feel that thing in your spirit – caution. Obey that and you will find the day runs smoothly and you will be so happy. The most powerful thing is your face and His face are close to each other. You will always be intimate with Him. This is a thought for you today to practice, and everyday. You will find your days are changing. Light and the burden is easy. Love you and God be with you.
