Hi, my name is Sarah Crockett and I’m part of the God TV team, and I’d like to welcome you to God Today. Today, I want to talk about a promise in the Word of God that I stand on and share a little bit of a testimony. The verse and the promise is Psalm 81:10, and the second half of the verse says, “Open wide your mouth, and I will fill it.” When you read the word “will” in the Word of God, it’s a promise. So it says, “Open wide your mouth, and I will fill it.”
So even as I’m filming this God Today for you right now, I have prayed, I’ve prepared, and then I’m trusting, I’m standing on the promise that as I open wide my mouth, God will fill it and say the exact right words that you need to hear in the moment that you’re watching this. It’s supernatural. I’ve heard a quote before, that “confidence to the insecure looks like arrogance.” And I’m confident in Him in me, not me. Amen? And we can walk in boldness, you know, in Acts 4, the disciples get persecuted for preaching the Gospel and they go into a room and they pray, like give us boldness. And so I want to pray that for you today, as we’re talking about this promise that it’s not just for me, it’s for you too, that when you open your mouth, when you’re in a meeting at work, when you’re talking to the teacher for your children, when you’re having a conversation with your spouse, when you are calling a company and doing business with people, like whenever you’re speaking, you can stand on this promise that as you open wide your mouth, God will fill it.
And actually here’s the testimony. I feel something on this as I’m sharing, is that I was interviewing to be a part of the, I was a college professor and there was this training group that we could be a part of, but you had to apply to it. And you had to present in front of all of the deans across the whole college. Talk about intimidating, having six deans and the president of the college watching you teach. And so I was getting ready to go up there and present this lesson to see if I could get into this exclusive training thing. And I’m sitting there and I’d already prepared, I’d written the lesson, and I pulled up my laptop and the Holy Spirit was like, “You don’t need to prepare,” and He took me to this verse, and that’s when it became a part of me and a promise that I stand on all the time, because He’s like, “You’ve prepared, you’ve done what you needed to do, now just go in there and trust that when you open your mouth, I’m going to fill it with the words that you need to say.” Amen?
And so I feel like there’s some of you even watching this right now, and you’re going into job interviews or interviews for something that’s really important to you. And so I just want to pray over you right now. Whether it’s the interview or you’re in a business deal that as you speak, the Holy Spirit is living inside of you, right? And I just release a revelation that He is inside of you, that He is, and as you surrender your heart, give us a grace to surrender our hearts to Him and allow Him to speak through us. And that, Holy Spirit, would you give us a hunger to spend time with you in your Word and in your presence, so that we can get to know you through relationship, and that as we become like you that’s what comes out of our mouths, is that as we hide your Word in our hearts, that that’s what would come out of us, so that people would hear from you as we open our mouths and speak, because we have such an intimate relationship with you. And so I just bless you today with encounters with Father God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit.
