My name is Kimberly Thomas and I want to welcome you today to God Today. We come to you with words of inspiration, and hopefully words of wisdom, and a prophetic word from the Lord. Today I want to share with you from Psalms and from Nahum. Psalms say that God is our rock, He is our fortress, He is our deliverer, He is our protector. I know that sometimes there are those days where we don’t really feel like that. We may not feel stable, even as God is our rock. We may not feel protected, even as God is our protector. I want to encourage you that God’s word is true. It does not come back void. God is doing exactly as He says.
I want to share with you what a stronghold is. Sometimes we think about a stronghold being a negative thing, a stronghold of the enemy. The stronghold of God came way before any stronghold of the enemy. That stronghold is a place that has been fortified and is protected. It can withstand any kind of attack. A fortress is that which is protected and impenetrable. When God says that He is our protector and He is our fortress, that means that we truly are protected. He has built a fortress about us of His love and His protection.
I wanted to encourage you today. If you are feeling a little unprotected if you are feeling a little vulnerable. If you are saying, “God, you have made me these promises and things don’t seem to be going quite right.” God’s word is truth, that He really is there loving you and protecting you, being that stronghold, being that rock, being that fortress, being that deliverer. Be encouraged today.
