We live with the power of Jesus within us. The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives within us. And it’s beautiful to think about that for a moment. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives within us. And what does that look like in our lives? And do we live lives where we’re actually, number one, letting that out? And then number two, seeing it happened in our day to day?
Do we see evidence of that power within us? It’s the very energy of the life of God Himself that’s within us, and He wants us to partner with Him to release that through signs and wonders and miracles. I think there’s a lot of believers who don’t step out in miracles, signs, and wonders, because they don’t know if it could really happen through them. But the minute that you just take that step of faith and just try it out, you’re going to see that power of God flow through. You’re going to see that person get healed. The Bible says, that when we fast, when we pray, and when we cast out demons, when we heal the sick, all these cool things that we get to see God do, it’s part of His Spirit living within us. It’s part of the normal Christian life. And I think there’s a lot of believers who live lives where they’re not seeing the power of God active in their lives.
When I got filled with the Holy Spirit, I was about 10 years old, and I remember the difference of my life beforehand and after. I remember it was like my relationship with the Lord had more color. I was starting to see and experience the Holy Spirit in my life and the power of Jesus in me. And that’s grown over the years as I’ve learned how to prophesy and how to just release healings and signs and wonders through Jesus within me. It’s beautiful because it brings glory to the Lord.
There’s this scripture that I love, Colossians 3:17, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” We get to be good stewards of the bodies that God has given us, of the voice that God has given us, the abilities that He’s given us, and we get to release the Kingdom of God through who He’s made us to be in our own unique way. We all carry a very unique part of the Father. We all have unique fingerprints. We all have unique vocal chords. It’s so cool. We’re just so uniquely created with an aspect of God that He wants us to release to the world around us, that He’s given us the opportunity to release Him to. And it’s a beautiful way to even get to know God more through how He uses you.
And so I want to encourage you guys today, that there’s nothing powerless about you or your life, because the power of Jesus resides within you. He chose you as a home to rest that same power that conquered the grave. You are the home of that power that raised Jesus from the grave. And it’s beautiful that He believes in you. He believes in you, and He wants to see you release His love to the world. He wants to see you be a vessel that He can extend His hand through and that He can touch someone’s life.
If you’ve never prophesied before, I would encourage you start with an encouraging word and watch it turn into a prophetic word as you listen for His voice. As you listen, “God, what do you say about this person?” And then hear what He has to say and listen to what He says about that person. What I love is when you start to prophesy, it’s like you’re just going to feel this flow of His Spirit and His word come. It’s beautiful learning to ebb and flow with this power of God that lives within you. And most of all it’s so that people can come to know Him and that this world can come to know how real Jesus is.
So I pray, God, that you would help us to release your power to this world that wants to experience you. They’re hungry for you. You’re the desire of all nations, God. And I pray that you would use us to release your power and your Kingdom so that, as you said, it would be on earth as it is in heaven.
