Welcome to GOD TV. I’m Peter van den Berg working with Christ For All Nations. And its just wonderful to have this time with you. You know, my heart and my spirit has been pondering on what the apostle Paul wrote in Romans chapter 8 about life in the Spirit. We love to walk in the Spirit and move in the Spirit and be in the Spirit. Really we are living by and in the Holy Spirit all the time. Even when you don’t feel very spiritual, the Spirit of God is still at work in you and praise God, still in me.
I want to read a verse to you from Romans chapter 8, it’s verse 12-13. This is what it says, “Therefore brothers we have an obligation. But it is not to the sinful nature to live according to it. But if we live by the Spirit, we put to death the misdeeds of the body and you will live, because you are lead by the Spirit of God.” Wow, an obligation to live according to the sinful nature. It’s true. We all feel that. It’s like something we’re ashamed of; something we want to get rid of. But I tell you that the word of God tells us that the coming of Jesus Christ and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit has made it possible for me and you to live above that sinful nature. And the Spirit of God in work in you right now is greater than the sinful nature that plagues you so much.
I want to encourage you today as you’re listening to this, maybe you have some pressures and some problems, just break them in Jesus’ name and say, “I am a child of God and I live according to His Spirit and not my sinful nature, in Jesus’ name.”
The victory is yours and I want to pray for you right now. I thank you, Lord, that Your Spirit is at work in my friend right now. I thank you that they are victorious over the sinful nature and they will live for you, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
