Now some of you are going to love my t-shirt. Some of you are not going to like it, but I do love the Cowboys. So let’s talk about football on GOD TV. By the way, my name is Reggie Dabbs, thank you for letting me be a part of today. There is a coach by the name of Lou Holts. If you’re into football, you’d know him. He used to be the head coach of Notre Dame, The Fighting Irish.

He had a man on his team who was a senior who’s father died a week before the last home game. They said that if you didn’t practice you could not play. So the son had to go home and take care of his dad, but when he came back, Lou Holts did something a little different. He let him dress and he let him play. The boy had the most incredible football game ever. Like, he had tackles, sacks, and a fumble recovery. At the end of the game, they gave him the game ball. Lou Holts said in the locker room with the whole team taking one knee; he said, “Son, you never played better in your whole life! What happened?” The boy said this, “As you know, my dad died this week. But what many of you don’t know is that he was blind. Every game he would come and he would see with his ears to watch me play. But I realized before we started the game today, that today would be the first game my dad gets to watch me play.”

You see, the game of life; we are all playing it. But what we need to know is that someone is watching us play this game of life. Maybe you’ve messed up and you’ve stumbled and you’ve fallen. Just remember John 3 verse 17, “For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

Hey, look, Jesus is watching us play this game of life so He can help us be the best we that we can be.

So it doesn’t matter what jersey you have on or what team you cheer for. What matters is that you have Jesus. And with Jesus, even if we fumble or fall, all things are possible. Just let Him be Lord of your life. Jesus, come into my life. Save me. Help me. That’s all you have to say.

Have a great day.
