Hi, I’m Roy Fields with Run With Fire Ministries. This is God Today. I want to share something with you just briefly. I have something that I think you will go, “What does that mean?” I found something that is better than Heaven.
Could you imagine anything being better than Heaven? Streets of gold the pearly gates, the jewels. I want to read something to you. In John, in the book of John – I have my little iPhone here. In the book of John 17:1-3, listen to this really quickly: “Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to Heaven and said, ‘Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son that your Son also may glorify you. As you have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as you have given Him.’” Verse 3 is what I want you to pay attention to, “Jesus said these words, ‘This is eternal life. That they may know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.’ Jesus said, “This is eternal life.”
You know, many of us, for so many years, we are looking towards Heaven, looking towards Heaven. “I want to get off Earth, I want to get out of here, this place is terrible and I…” Jesus said, “And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the One true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” What does that mean? My friends, let me tell you what it means. Knowing Jesus is better than Heaven. Knowing God is better than Heaven. Walking with the Holy Spirit is better than Heaven. I can’t wait to get to Heaven, but I tell you what – the prize is going to be Jesus. That is why I believe Jesus is better than Heaven.
