Matthew 18:19-20 says “Again, I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in Heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them.”
How cool is that? You know when two people are gathered in God’s name, He’s there. We gather for a lot of things. We could gather for a parade, we could gather for a concert, town hall meeting, celebrations. But when we gather in the name of the Lord, He shows up. It’s like He’s answering an invitation that you’ve sent just by being together and honoring Him.
And He also says that when we agree on Earth about anything, that it’s done in Heaven. There’s such beauty in unity, and the Lord honors unity in Him. It’s so powerful to have a body of believers that you can pray with and agree with in prayer.
So I would encourage you today that if you don’t have prayer partners, if you don’t have people that are praying with you and agreeing with you in prayer, to find some today. This is powerful. Our prayers and our unity are powerful.
So, Lord, I thank you that you show up when we come in your name, Lord, and that you answer our prayers and agreement. Lord, I just ask for those who are looking for prayer partners and for those to come alongside them, Lord, that you just bring prayer partners that you bring those in ministry, those friendships and alignments, Lord, that they can agree in unity in all that you’ve called us to. And we just ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
