So you can stand tall, square your shoulders and look at tomorrow and go, you know what? God's with me tomorrow. It's all gonna be okay.

I was having a talk with a friend of mine the other day and he had just had a bad day at work. Things didn’t seem to be going his way. And you know, a colleague shouted at him and his boss wasn’t happy with him and he was just “meh”.  And we’ve all had days like that when things just don’t go right, and then the bigger picture begins to look bad and then you are worried about the future. And he looked at me and he said, “You know what? I just don’t know if I want to go back to work tomorrow.”  And as we were talking, the Lord brought to my mind the verse in Lamentations 3:22-23. I’m going to read it. And you know, we’ve almost all sung a song that says this too, “Because of the LORD’s great love, we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail; they are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.”

And as this verse and the song was running around in my head, the Lord said, “Encourage him that today is today, but tomorrow my mercies will be new. There’ll be more grace available tomorrow. There are things available tomorrow that are not available today, so he doesn’t have to take the worries from today into tomorrow.”

Jesus talked about that too, right? So the beauty is that no matter what is happening in your life right now, no matter what doesn’t look good, or you’re frustrated about, or you don’t understand, you can take today as a whole and go, Lord, thank you for the grace that you put into today. Tomorrow morning when I wake up, there will be new grace for everything that’s there tomorrow. And you know what that does my friend? It encourages us that tomorrow is full of grace, just like today was, and God will be there tomorrow just like He was today.

So you can stand tall, square your shoulders and look at tomorrow and go, you know what? God’s with me tomorrow. It’s all gonna be okay. That is such a huge blessing.
