Equip yourself with the word of God, because when you go in the valley, you are going to need that word, you're going to need that prayer life.

When somebody asks you how you’re doing, don’t you just love it when you tell them that everything is going good and everything will actually be good? Like your work is good, your children are good, your health is good, everything is just flowing. There’s just this calm in your life that you just love. We all pray for that. We celebrate that. We thank God for that because that is His will for our life. That is what He wants for His children. However, as children of God, that is not our time to become complacent and just like put our Bible away and read it sporadically and then put our prayer on an on and off season.

No, let’s take an example of the ants. The Bible says in the book of Proverbs, I actually like the scripture. So Proverbs 30:25, it says, “Ants are weak, but they store up their food in the summer.” They’re smart. They know that the winter is coming, so they store up our food during the summer. And then Proverbs 6:7 says, “Ants have no leader or chief or ruler, but they store up their food during the summer getting ready for the winter.” So we need to prepare our hearts. We need to get in as much of the word that we can, because if there is any weapon that you need to defeat the plans of the enemy, it’s the word of God. It is the word of God. You can pray as much as you can, but if you don’t have the word of God in you, your prayers are not strong, because there is no word of God. You don’t have the promises of God in your prayers. So you need to take God at His word. Store up the word of God during the good seasons of your life so that when the bad season comes, you are ready for adversity. When adversity comes, you are a walking Bible. You have all your weapons ready, you are prepared for that war.

In the book of Exodus, God would say to Moses, come up to the mountain and let me give you instructions on what to tell the people. Come up to the mountaintop. You know, if God invited me to the mountaintop, I’d be like, “God, I just wanna hang out with you. I don’t want any instructions, I just wanna hang out.”  But God would be like, “No, no, no, no. Come up to the mountain, because I need to give you instructions. Yes, you are at the mountaintop with me. You can get all you want from me, but I want to give you instructions. I want to equip you with what you need for down there, for when you go back.”

You need to be equipped for what you need. So if you are on a mountaintop season right now, equip yourself.  Equip yourself with the word of God, because when you go in the valley, you are going to need that word, you’re going to need that prayer life.

So I just want to pray for you that you get strength in this season. If you are in the calm season, if you are in the okay season, get strength. Go back to your word. Gather up as much word of as you can. Recite that word. Let that word be in you. Be dripping with the word of God. Be dripping with the Holy Spirit. Just have a prayer life that is strong enough to face the challenges of this world when they come and hit you.

So let’s pray. Father, I thank you for every man and every woman, every boy and girl that is watching today. I thank you for your goodness in their lives, because God, that is your will that they live in your goodness. And I just pray that in your goodness, may they remember that it’s also a time to work like the ants of God. Like it is time to work and collect food, collect resources that they need for the winter, that God, it is time for them to read up on the word of God. Study the word. It is time to equip themselves with the word. It is a time to get in and soak up on God while they’re on the mountaintop. Soak up on your glory, soak up on who you are, God, while they’re having a mountaintop experience. You are so awesome, God, thank you so much for your word. And I just pray that God, you make us strong Christians. You make us Christians that are always ready, God, that when adversity comes, we’re ready, we’re trained, we’re equipped. Thank you that, God, you’re a God who fights for us and we thank you for the weapons that you’ve given us for warfare. We love you, God, in Jesus’ name. Amen. Awesome, you guys. I love you. Thank you. Bye-Bye.
