Hello, I’m Pastor Richard Summerlin of New Way Church in Palm Coast, Florida. Welcome to God Today. I wanted to take a few moments with you and I wanted to talk to you about God’s faithfulness and goodness. I will tell you right now, God can help you no matter what you face, no matter you’re going through. Don’t you give up. God has a plan for you, and He has a way out for you.
I remember back some years ago when I found myself – I hate to even say it – in over a 5 million dollar debt. I didn’t have any hope. There was no one to turn to, no one who could help me. God bless the banking institute, but they weren’t going to help me. I remember making a choice, or coming to a place where I had to decide. Was I going to trust in God? Was I really going to do what I preach, what I say? The scriptures that I preach, was I really going to stand on them? Or was I going to abandon the only person, the only place that I could find help?
I made a choice. It was a nighttime choice. I was laying on my couch and I said, “Lord, I’m going to trust you with this.” My wife was there with me. We got into the scripture and I remember 1 John 5:4. I’ll never forget that night, where the Bible tells us, “Faith gives us the victory that overcomes the world.” A debt of any size, I’m telling you right now, is a very hard circumstance and situation to overcome. But, when you can have victory and faith, that means put your trust in God, not your ability, not a little gimmick, or something that you can get yourself out of. But, when you’re into a place where you can’t get free and you have to have God, faith will come in and it will set you free right where you’re at today.
I’m going to pray with you and I’m going to believe that something supernatural is going to take place wherever you are watching from right now. Lord, I pray right now for every one person – man, woman or child, employee, employer, worker, pastor, whoever you are. I believe right now for freedom and deliverance in the area of finances. In Jesus’ mighty name. Don’t give up. God Bless you. Amen.
