It is so important that you know Jesus; that you realize He is the door to true life.

I want to encourage you today that Jesus Christ is the door that you have been looking for. Hi, my name is Rachel Hale, and I want to read you a scripture from John chapter 10. It’s verse nine. It says, “I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.”

One night, I was lying in bed and Jesus came to my ear, and so softly just said to me in a bewildered way, He said, “Rachel,”  He really was asking me, He said, “Rachel, why do so many people ask me to open a door when I am the door?”  And I was just so caught off guard by that question, and it just had me thinking twice about everything. And I was like, “Oh God, I don’t know. Jesus, I don’t know why they do that.”  You see, in John 15:4, it says, “Remain in me as I remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself. It must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.”

You see, we can’t do anything without Jesus. So I think a lot of us are going around and asking, “Lord, open this door so I can get this job, or open this door so I can have this opportunity, or have this platform, or this ministry or this husband, this wife,” whatever. But none of that will bring you life outside of Jesus Christ. There’s another scripture I have for you. It’s John 14:6, and it says, “I’m the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

It is so important that you know Jesus; that you realize He is the door to true life. Because one day when this life is over, you will stand before Him and you want Him to say, “I know her,”  or “I know him.”  You want to have a relationship with Jesus, because that is eternal.

So I’m going pray for you. Jesus, I pray that you would give every single person watching this message, a hunger and a heart to know you, to have a face-to-face encounter with you, and to realize that you are the door to life and there is no good outside of you and knowing you. And I thank you, Father God for that. In Jesus’ name. Amen. All right, y’all have a wonderful day. Remember, Jesus is the door you’re looking for.
