Hi, I’m Josh Baldwin with Bethel Music. Welcome to God Today. So, my favorite scripture in the Bible, I feel like it’s changed my whole life, just through each season of my life. I know when I was a kid it was Joshua 1:9, “Heaven, I’ve commanded you to be strong and courageous”. I feel like that was so important to me growing up. I was a quiet kid, I would find, sometimes, it hard to be bold and courageous. That was a good one.
The funny thing is, now being an adult, knowing where I’m going in life, my favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11. I’m just gonna read it, “For I know the thoughts I think towards you”, says the Lord, “thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope”. I know for me and my wife, we make our plans, we trust in the Lord. It’s so reassuring to know that His thoughts are for us and that He’s given us a future, that He’s given us hope, that He has good things for us. He has great things for us.
And whenever those lies come in from the enemy that want to tell you otherwise, that want to tell you-you’re too young, or you’re too old to accomplish things the Lord has placed on your heart, those are just lies. We have to hope in the Lord and to know that He has good things for us and to know that He actually has a future prepared for us, that is beyond our wildest dreams, is so important. So, I just encourage you today to just grab hold of that hope and grab hold of His promises that He has for you that are so good.
