Hi, my name is Peter Louis with Braveheart Ministries.  Welcome to God Today. I want to talk to you today about God’s desire and His willingness to heal those of you who are sick and also to heal through you by the Holy Spirit.  About a week ago I was sick with the flu.  I was in my bed, I woke up not feeling well, it just got worse and worse as the day went on.  As I was laying in my bed shivering, with a fever, I heard this verse pop into my head.   I don’t know about you, but when I get sick I feel pathetic and I just opened my heart to the Lord.  I heard Ephesians 5:29.    Ephesians 5:29 says, “For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it as Christ does the church.  Because we are members of His body.”  I began to pray.  “God, thank you that you don’t hate me.  Thank you that you love me, that I’m actually a member of your body.  I just ask right now that you would begin to nourish and cherish me, your own flesh.”  I prayed that as best I could, it was the only prayer I could pray.

I woke up the next morning completely healed.  No evidence of the flu and the Lord began to unlock the beauty of this passage to me.  God’s willingness and desire to heal us is so powerful because we belong to Him.  We are actually members of His body.  I know many of you may be confused about the will of God.  I had a little brother die of cancer it’s a hard thing to wrestle with the will of God to heal the sick.  But, I want to tell you – He is a healer.  He is a lover of His own flesh and if you’ve been born of God you are a member of His body.  You are not just one spirit with Him but you’re one flesh with Him.

So, I want to encourage you today that it was never God’s intent for humanity to be sick, to die.  These are evidences of the fall of man.  Through the gospel, through the blood of Jesus, through the covenant we get born of God into the family of God into the body of Christ – where he nourishes us and cherishes us.

I want to pray for you.  If you have a heart to pray for the sick and you’ve been confused.  I want to tell you He loves you, He is going to nourish you.  Even if you’re sick, even now, you’re going to be healed just as you acknowledge and allow Him to nourish and cherish you.  Father, in the name of Jesus, I release a healing anointing over everyone watching.  Anyone sick, may they be healed now, in Jesus’ name.  And would you raise up a generation to heal the sick by the blood and the power of the Holy Spirit.  In Jesus’ name.
