Welcome to GOD TV, I’m Peter van den Berg, working with Christ For All Nationsm and it is a real joy for me to be able to take this time to share something with you from the Word of God. I have been changed and guided throughout my entire Christian life by the words of the Apostle Paul where he talks in Romans 8 about life in the Spirit.
And, what he says there is amazing because, you know, we don’t feel so spiritual. You, as you are listening may say “I want to be more spiritual than I am”, but I want to tell you that, as far as the Apostle Paul is concerned, you are spiritual. There’s a part of you that reaches out to God. It’s made for God. It’s a God shape inside you.
Paul writes this in the Book of Romans and I want to read it to you. He says, “For those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires, but those who live in accordance with the Spirit of God have their minds set on what the Spirit desires” (Romans 8:5).
Isn’t that wonderful? That you and I, because of the God-shaped part in us, our spirit reaching out to Him, and because of the Holy Spirit poured out and given to you, that we can live according to His plan and be free from the hindrances, the restrictions of the sinful nature of man.
So maybe you have been troubled with sinful problems, things in your life that you wish were never there. I tell you, the Spirit of God is here to set you free in Jesus’ name. And, I know this works because it’s worked in my life and still does, and it can work for you in Jesus’ name. And, I want to pray for you right now.
Lord, I thank You for my friend listening right now. I thank you for Your Holy Spirit touching their spirit right now. And, I set you free from the law of sin and death and I set you free to live victoriously by the Spirit. In Jesus’ name. Amen
