When God’s grace is in my life, He is going to teach me to walk in obedience to the Word

Hi, I’m Dr. Baruch Korman and welcome to God Today. Today I would like to speak to you about grace.  Now, many people speak about God’s grace and we need to understand it in two directions.  For example, in Titus chapter 2 verses 11 and 12 there’s a key passage that explains the fullness of God’s grace.  It says there, “For the grace of God has appeared to all people bringing salvation.”  Now, by and large, we understand that.  Our salvation is not based upon works, but based upon God’s grace – a free gift given to us.  And because of that, we have assurance, based upon the blood of the Messiah, which was confirmed with the resurrection from the dead that He did on that third day, we have assurance of our entrance into the Kingdom of God.  And for most people – that’s where it ends.

If we keep reading in Titus chapter 2 there’s another dimension of God’s grace – one that’s very relevant for us today.  Because that passage continues and says, “teaching us to deny unrighteousness and to live soberly and justly in this present age.”  So, God’s grace is not just something for the future, “When I die I’ll go into the Kingdom of Heaven.”  But rather, we also see – and that’s the key – also see that there’s a present application to it.  When God’s grace is in my life, He is going to teach me to walk in obedience to the word of God.  Denying the things of this world, denying sin, and living righteously that those that see us might give thanks to God and might see God’s glory being manifested through us.  We, as Paul says, are a temple of the Holy Spirit.

People should see that Messiah has made a difference in your life – not just where you are going to spend eternity, but how you live today in this present age.  And the days that we are living in, well – they are getting dark.  There are greater difficulties ahead.  It’s only when we listen and submit to God’s grace moving in our life, then and only then, are we going to be people who are found faithful, who give a Godly testimony where people can see our personal relationship with Messiah Yeshua.  Thank you.
