Hi, I’m Billy Epperhart with Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College and welcome to God Today.  You know, I heard a story several years ago when we talk about the Parable of the Talents in found in Matthew 25.  I heard a story several years ago about the heirs of a man in America by the name of Andrew Carnegie. In 1877 he died with a fortune of 105 million dollars.  If you want to know what that is, just think of the richest man in the world, Bill Gates, and in 1877 that’s about where Andrew Carnegie was – the same place Bill Gates is today.  That was in 1877, less than 100 years later in 1972, 120 of Andrew Carnegie’s direct descendants met in a hotel room in Nashville, TN in the USA. And in that group of 120 direct descendants that inherited the entire fortune, there was not one millionaire among them.

Another man by the name of Amstel Rothschild, he died with a fortune that was equal to Andrew Carnegie’s and today that fortune is multiplied and multiplied and affected people around the world.  The reason I share that with you as you are watching God Today is because I want to encourage you today to be a steward of what God has put in your hand. Matthew 25 gives the Parable of the Talents and it talks about how Jesus gave one 5, and He gave one 2, and He gave one 1.   We know the one with the 5 and 2 took it and made it all God had called them to do. And because of that they were tremendously blessed. But, we know the one with the 1 took it and hid his talent in the ground and he lost it.

Today I want to encourage you not to take your talents and hide them in the ground.  I want to encourage you to be a good steward so that all that God has put in you and all that God has prepared for you will continue to multiply and continue to bless others around you.  So, let me pray for you today on the fact that you, today, can let God to do through you and in you what you need to do. Father, right now we thank you for your blessing and increase. We thank you today, Lord, right now, that we don’t take the talents and hide them in the ground, but we become good stewards of all that you put in our life.  In Jesus’ name. Amen.
