Hi, this is Bob Weiner of Weiner Ministries International and this is God Today. I want to talk to you about counterfeit conversion. You know, I had this incredible experience with the Lord, but I wasn’t living holy. I was 22 years old and I was on fire, but I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t seeing all that God had told me. Then I met up with a guy named Winkie Pratney and he told me about the Lordship of Christ. He challenged me about counterfeit conversion. I was with another 50 young people and young leaders. We all got down on our face and cried out to the Lord. We realized we had never made Jesus Lord of our lives. The bottom line is, if Jesus isn’t Lord of all, He isn’t Lord at all. He says, “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord’, and do not do what I say? Only those who hear my voice and do it will inherit the Kingdom of God.”
We have to be very careful that we obey and repent fully of our life and take up our cross, deny ourself, and follow Jesus all the way. I want to encourage you. This is the greatest opportunity to win the world, to see the world, and see your destiny fulfilled. There can’t be any idols. There can be no lust. There can be no immorality. You have to forsake it. Can I tell you? It’s not that hard. I have worked with 100s of NBA and NFL players that were college students. They got billion dollar contracts and most of our young guys that were part of the champions group that we had, those young men lived a holy life. A.C. Green never touched a girl until he married her. Can you imagine? Not even a kiss. You say, “Whoa, that’s so weird. How in the world?” We have been so subnormal for so long that we see what is abnormal as normal. No, it’s not normal. Present your body a living, holy sacrifice which is your reasonable service. DOn’t be conformed to this world, come out from the world and be separate. Touch no the unclean thing, and then I will receive you. Then you will be my sons and daughters.
Let me pray for you right now. I want to pray for you. I want you to let the HOly SPirit convict you. I want you to repent. I want you to get right with God. Once you do, your life will take off. Jesus will use you to the fullest extent. We need to break this counterfeit conversion. Lord, I break this false lie of the enemy that says we can make you savior, but not Lord. Lord, you said, “Why do you call me Lord, Lord and do not do what I say? Only those who hear my voice and do it will inherit the Kingdom of God.” Lord, let the spirit of conviction fall upon this generation. Lord, let them see that there is no 99% commitment. Not one of us would ever marry a girl that said, “I will be true to you 99% of the time. One time of the year I am going to cheat on you.” Oh Lord, not one of us would marry such a person. So therefore, Lord, why would you marry us when we have other gods and other things in our lives. Lord, today, we cry out and we say, come Holy Spirit. Convict our hearts and bring us to the full knowledge of the Son of God and to full repentance so that we can have the full inheritance that you called us to in this last day, for your glory, for your honor.
