God wants you to know that you were birthed for the purpose of Him adopting you into His family.

Hello, I’m Pam Hanes with Pam Hanes Ministries and welcome to God Today. I know that we’re all familiar with the beautiful scripture in Romans 8 that says that we are the sons and daughters of God.  That we have been adopted into the family. This scripture really came home to me – it was a time about 20 years ago when my husband was still delivering babies. A young, unwed mom approached my husband and asked him if he would place her baby in a wonderful Christian home.  We knew a couple and the husband was older and the wife was 42. And desperate to hold a baby in her arms, desperate to adopt a baby.

I’ll never forget that day when Sandra sat in our living room and Chip and Billy (the soon-to-be father) went to get the baby from the hospital after the papers were signed.  And Billy brought this newborn baby and put it into the arms of Sandra – her new adopted baby. It was like time stood still – the love on that mama’s face for her adopted child.

As we dig deeper into Romans 8, after it says that we are adopted and call Him “Abba Father” it also says that creation is groaning for us to know that we are the sons and daughters of God.  It says that the Holy Spirit is groaning for us to know that we are the sons and daughters of God. The son is groaning and we are groaning until we know that we are the sons and the daughters of God.  I have had 5 children by natural childbirth. I’ve helped others, I know a little bit about the groaning process to get to birth. God wants you to know that you were birthed for the purpose of Him adopting you into His family and for you to be able to say, “Abba. Daddy.”

I pray for the revelation from Heaven to cooperate with the groaning in nature.  With the Son, with the Spirit. That you absolutely know you are a son and a daughter of God.  And you have the privilege to say, “Abba, Daddy, my father.” In Jesus’ name, Amen.
