Welcome to God Today. This is KC Craichy, founder and CEO of Living Fuel and Marketplace Ministry. Can we have one foot in the world and one foot in Christ? Well, a lot of us do. But ultimately, that basically means two feet in the world. What am I saying here? We have to live for Christ. We have to follow. He says that He is love, of course. But He says that those that love me will do what I say. If we love Jesus, I am going to mention, right now, we don’t want to hear these words. The most frightening words in the Bible from my perspective. Is: “Lord, didn’t we do mighty works in your name?” And the Lord’s response: “Depart from me. I never knew you.”
When you think of the word “knew”, it is the same word as Adam “knew” Eve and Mary had not yet “known” a man. It is the level of intimacy of a husband and wife. It is experiencing God. So the Lord is saying, “If you have not experienced me, that means I never knew me.” So we can’t play the Christian game. We can’t just walk through life and label ourselves Christian. Hey, maybe we even have a quiet time, maybe we say “God bless you” to people. Maybe we say “Praise the Lord”. But where is your heart?
God knows the heart. We must make sure that David’s prayer is rich in our lives. That’s the one I pray often. “Create in me a clean heart, Oh Lord. And renew a right spirit in me. Lord, give me your heart. Give me your heart of compassion.” I am reminded of something I even heard over the weekend, it was brought to my attention. When the samaritan came and helped the jew after the other jews walked on the other side of the road, because they didn’t want to be unclean, he had to find the place with the jew. He literally had to tend to his wounds before he could put him on the horse to take him to the inn to recover.
In other words, you have to first start with the heart of God that drives you to compassion. And then you have to touch someone at their wound. You have to deal with their wounds before you can take them places. So, we can’t have one foot in the world and one foot in the Kingdom because ultimately, you’re not going to make it. I implore my brothers and sisters out there. Even you ministers who are leading flocks and leading the body of Christ, we lose our moral right to lead, even if people don’t know we’ve lost our moral right to lead. But if we are doing amazing messages, and reading the Bible, and knowing the Word on a deep level, knowing what it means, but we are in sin, for instance: pornography. The numbers of pornography in the body of Christ are extraordinary. The number of ministers in pornography is extraordinary. The enemy is coming after you. The enemy is coming after me. We have to keep each other accountable. And we have to make sure that we are accountable to the Lord.
Lord, create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit in me today, Lord. Because every day I have temptations. Every time I accept a temptation, I walk towards that temptation one more half step, I am one more step toward where the enemy wants me, not where the Lord wants me. Let’s keep each other accountable. Let’s lay our hearts before the Lord and say, “Lord, help me. Help me love you. Help me do as you command. Create in me a clean heart and renew the right spirit in me. God bless you. I pray the Lord, right now, will release an abundance of love into you. His spirit of love, His fruit of love will be so evident in you and that you’ll actually know Him, you may know the love of God that surpasses knowledge. And be filled to all the fullness of Christ.
