Hi, I’m Dave Harvey, the director of Increase Testimony, and welcome to God Today. Did you know that your testimony can heal division and bring unity? It’s true. I’ve seen it happen. We were on a ministry trip back to my home country and we were visiting a city where I knew there’d been past issues of church politics and disunity. Night after night, we saw God pour out miracles, signs, and wonders. People were healed. And every night new leaders from different churches around the community began to come. And I saw the Lord bring our city together, focused on the glory of God and focused on the testimony. It was like I had a brand new city.
Did you know Psalm 133 says this? It says, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity! It is like precious oil upon the head of Aaron.” But check this out. It says at the end, “For there, the Lord commands the blessing forevermore.” We can look at that Scripture in a linear way and see that if we get people together in unity, then God will command a blessing.
But I remember Alita telling me once that the Hebrew people also write in circles. So you could also look at that Scripture and say, where God pours out the blessing, there the people unify and the oil is poured down on Aaron’s beard. I want to propose to you that when we focus on God’s goodness, when we focus on His testimonies, it brings unity. It brings family and disunity is broken and revival comes.
I want to pray for you. Right now God is releasing unity across the world, and I believe God wants to do it through sharing testimonies and praying for one another. Why not share testimonies at your dinner table or in your homegroup or church that you’re a part of? I really believe God is about to pour out a spirit of family as we celebrate what He’s doing and ask for Him to do it again.
