I want to encourage you to remember this: the ultimate justice is when Jesus Himself comes back and He claims the world and His people for all of eternity.

Hello, my friends.  I am Pastor Troy Brewer from Open Door Church in Burleson, Texas, and you are watching God Today.  For some strange reason, we human beings tend to love rules, and we shouldn’t.  We should love freedom.  God Almighty didn’t design us to crave after rules, He designed us to crave after Him. That’s why, in the very beginning of the whole story, God only gave them one rule.  He said, “You must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  For when you eat from it, you will certainly die.”

Without fully knowing the extent of the damage they were about to do, Adam and Eve did disobey.  After their fall, they tried to find ways to please their Heavenly Father, and they got creative.  And since they didn’t know how, they just started making rules.  And when there are rules, they tend to get broken.  When those rules do get broken, we tend to cry, “No fair!”

I want you to look at Cain, I want you to look at Abel.  Cain refused to do the things God wanted Him to do and then he cried, “No fair!”  And then the Lord accepted his brother’s offering, and He didn’t accept his.  Over the centuries, “No Fair” has crept further into our belief systems and when someone else is successful we tend to say, “No fair!” And when someone else is healthy and we are not, we tend to think, “No fair!”

This is so dangerous.  This whole thing of “life needs to be fair” is going through our world and is wreaking havoc in our families, in our societies, and even within our churches.  What you need to know is that God never promised that life was going to be fair.  In fact, He never claims to be fair Himself.  You know why? Because there is something much greater than fair.  God is just.  Justice is a term used for what is right or the way that things ought to be.  In a world riddled by sin and ruled by the lawless one, there is a lot that isn’t as it should be.  The Lord wants to fix that.

Now, this problem is not only corporate, it is personal.  The enemy loves to attack us and take our blessings, our promises, our purposes that God has planned for us.  We often don’t realize that it was the devil who was the culprit.  When we do, we believe the devil has won.  And friends, he has not won. I want to invite you to petition God for justice.  Catch the thief and make your own case to the ultimate of all awesome judges.  Keep making that case until God rules in your favor. Because He is just, you can be rewarded with restoration and even restitution here upon this earth.

The Bible says God will repay you for the years that the locust has eaten. You know, God is a rewarder.  I want to encourage you to remember this: the ultimate justice is when Jesus Himself comes back and He claims the world and His people for all of eternity.

So, I want to pray for you.  Father God, I want to lift up all of my friends that are watching all over this planet earth.  I pray, Father, in the name of Jesus, knowing, God, that you are a God of justice.  I pray, God, for restoration.  Not for punishment, God, but for restoration over punishment.  God, where there is darkness let there be light.  Where there is death let there be life.  And I pray God, that you return all that has been stolen from us because you are so good and I love you, sir.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.  Thank you so much for spending this time with me on God Today.  I call you the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, and highly favored of the Lord.
