Hi, my name is Justin Evans and I’m part of the GOD TV team. Welcome to God Today. Today, I just wanted to talk with you about some prayer principles that I learned from my mentors who learned also from their mentor brother Kennedy Hagen. They’re found in the book of Ephesians, and we’re going to start off in Ephesians chapter one and verse 17 and go to the end of the chapter there.

These prayer principles are powerful and they will, as you mix your faith with them, they will just open up your spirit to the Holy Spirit so He can reveal more things to you. And of course, to me as well. Starting in Ephesians chapter one, verse 17, and as I pray, or as we pray together, anytime it mentions ‘God,’ let’s look to Him and then anytime it mentions ‘us,’ or ‘you,’ let’s personalize it for you and for me, by saying “me or I.”  So let’s go there. That you, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory may give unto us or me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, and the knowledge of you, that the eyes of our understanding or my understanding have been and are being enlightened, that we or I may know what is the hope of your calling, Father, and what are the riches of the glory of your inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of your power towards us or towards me who believes. Thank you, that’s in accordance with the working of your mighty power that you worked in Christ when you raised Him from the dead and seated Him at your own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come. And we thank you that you put all things under His feet and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

And then let’s go to chapter two and look at verse one. And we thank you, Father, that you made me alive, who was once dead in trespasses and sins (and verse four), but God, we thank you that you are rich in mercy, and because of your great love with which you loved me, even when I was dead in trespasses and sins, you made me alive together with Christ. Thank you, Father, that by grace, I have been saved and you’ve raised me up with Christ. You’ve made me sit together with Him in the heavenly places in Him, that in the ages to come, you might show the exceeding riches of your grace and your kindness towards me in Christ Jesus.

And, let’s go ahead and go to chapter three, starting at verse 14. And for this reason I bow my knees before you, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that you would grant me according to the riches of your glory to be strengthened with might through your Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith, and that I being rooted and grounded in love may be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the breadth, the length, the depth, and the height, to know the love of Christ that passes knowledge, that I might be filled with all your fullness, O God. Now to you, Father, who’s able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think or above all that I ask or think according to your power, Father, that works in me, to you be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, forever. Amen.

And so with that, as we pray those things, we can believe them. As you pray it, meditate on it. And as you’re saying it, don’t just say it verbatim, but meditate on it as you’re saying it. So that there’s revelation coming forth, that faith coming into your heart would cause that faith to come out of your mouth so that you can get the things that we’re praying. Amen?

And, you know, as it says in chapter one, the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, we’re praying for that, so we can expect that to come on us and give us that insight, the wisdom and revelation of God almighty by his own Spirit. Amen? And then in chapter three as well, that He would grant us according to the riches of His glory to be strengthened with might, through his Spirit in the inner man. I don’t know about you, but I need some strength these days. And that’s definitely one way that we can pray according to the word and believe it and receive exactly what we’re praying for. Amen?

And so, let me pray for you as you go with this tool to help you about today and, be blessed. Amen? Father, we thank you for the gift you’ve given us of your word. We thank you that we can put faith in your word or as a secular type of person would say, we can put stock in your work. Father, we thank you that your word is truth, and that we receive the benefits of your word by believing it and acting upon it, whether by mouth, or verbalizing, or by deed. And so we thank you for that. We thank you for your Son. We thank you for His blood. And we thank you, Lord, that there is power in His name. There is power in your word, as you said, your word is Spirit and life. And so we thank you for your life today, residing on the inside of us. And we just give you praise and glory for it. And we thank you for these prayers from Paul. In Jesus’ name. Amen? Amen. Be blessed.
