Hi, today, I want to encourage you with Ephesians 2:8-9, “For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not from yourselves. It is the gift of God. Not by works, so that no one can boast.”  I remember when I was first saved, I was taught that a person had to say a prayer called the prayer of salvation or the sinner’s prayer. And it took me a while to receive the revelation that we see right here in Ephesians 2:8-9, that it’s actually by faith, through grace, by grace, through faith, that we receive our salvation. It’s not actually by doing a work or something specific like a certain prayer with certain words to it.

There are really, obviously,  important words that you have to say to confess Jesus is your Lord and to invite Him to live in your heart and live in your life. But I love that revelation, and I love what Ephesians is saying, that it’s not anything that we can ever do. We can’t ever earn this and we can’t ever get it right.

So I just pray right now for you, right where you are, that you are consoled and comforted, that there’s really nothing that you have to do. All you have to do is, by faith, reach out, and the Lord’s grace is there, ready for you at any time of day or night. And I bless you.
