Welcome to God Today. This is Dr. Nasir Siddiki of Wisdom Ministries.org. I have another word to share with you today. I want to talk to you about authority. Here in Matthew 28:18, Jesus approached them. This is after He’s ascended, come back now, He’s gone to the cross, and breaking their silence to them, He said, “All authority, all power to rule in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you and behold I am with you all the days of your life.” Amen.
Well, I did a study on this. I wanted to find out what was this authority. What is the authority of the believer? When Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and earth,” He had defeated the devil completely, and that authority had now been given to Jesus on earth. He transferred that to the disciples, to the Church, to you and I, to walk in the authority of the believer, to be able to do things we could never do before, command things we could never command before.
When I started to learn about this authority, it completely changed my life. All of a sudden, I realized that I had the authority that Jesus had defeated the devil for and if I would learn my authority as a believer, I would be more than a conqueror and an overcomer.
Let me pray for you. I thank you, Lord, that you give them the revelation of their authority, that they walk in the fullness thereof, never to be under the circumstances anymore but to be more than conquerors, to be overcomers and by Christ Jesus, they will always triumph. We thank you for it. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
