Welcome to God Today. I’m Andrew Wommack. I’m one of the broadcasters here on The God Channel. Today I just want to share with you that the Lord wants you well. Jesus died for your healing. And I know that many people have heard statements like this, but the problem is we look around and we see sickness everywhere. I bet you that there’s not a person watching this that hasn’t had to deal with sickness in yourself or somebody else. Many of you are probably dealing with it right now. And the sad thing is, most people let circumstances of life control what they believe more than what God’s word believes. Here’s another way of saying that – they don’t let the word of God get in the way of what they believe. But you should. You should get to where the word of God controls you.
In 3 John chapter 1, verse 2, he says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers.” That is God’s will for you. And somebody says, “Well if it’s God’s will why didn’t it come to pass?” Well, let me ask you this, “Is it God’s will for everybody to be saved?” I’d think you’d have to say “Yes.” 2 Peter 3:9 says, “He’s not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” And yet, not all people are saved. Not because God willed it that way, but because we have an enemy, we have people that try and obtain salvation through their good works and being a good person instead of trusting Jesus.
There are multiple reasons, but the fact that not everybody is saved doesn’t keep us from believing that God has made a provision for everyone to be saved and that is His desire. Likewise, it is God’s desire for you to be well. And this is a starting place. There’s a lot more to it than just knowing that it is God’s will. But, if you ever waver on that, if Satan can ever make you doubt that God wants you well; if you think that some way He wants you to be sick, that he’s punishing you or trying to teach you something, I guarantee you will never see healing manifest. It starts with believing that God wants you well. I believe that with all my heart.
And so today, I just pray for you. I pray that God takes this little truth that I have shared and that He would just ignite this in your heart and that you would believe that God wants you well. That you would open up, the same way that a parent wants his child well, your Heavenly Father wants you well. He wants it more than you want it. You don’t have to beg, you don’t have to plead, you don’t have to earn it. It’s a gift. And I am praying that right now you would receive the healing power of God, whatever it is that you need. That it would come into your body right now and that you would experience God today.
