God's delight in you is real. He delights in the things that you do. He delights in every detail of your life. So if you have struggled with abandonment, allow God to heal your heart.

I would like to share with you about the reality that God does not abandon us. When I was in middle school, around 11 years old, I had a traumatic experience to my heart as a little girl, in that my father created and had specially made gloves for everyone in the family, including his brother and his sister-in-law, so my uncle and aunt. And had a special meal, and we all gathered and he gave these special handmade gloves to everyone in the family that was there that evening, except me. I was the youngest. And when I ran into the bedroom sobbing, because I was the only one that didn’t get a pair of gloves, my mother came in and said, “Honey, dad thought that you were too young to be responsible and care for these.” So, he was probably right, but what got written on my heart that day was, I am an outcast. That is not the truth from Father God.

The truth from Father God is in Psalm 27:10, “Even if my father and mother abandoned me, the Lord will take me up.” Literally, that means pick me up and hold me close. That’s the truth. But my little girl heart believed a lie for many years that God thankfully has since healed, and I know I am not abandoned. Jesus said to the disciples when He was explaining to them that He was leaving after being with them for three years, loving them, training them, hanging out with them, He said to them, I’m leaving and I’m going away. But He said in John 14:18, “I will not abandon you as orphans. I will come to you.” How did He do that? He did it through the Holy Spirit.

Another verse says in Psalm 37:25, “Once I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the godly abandoned,” and that is the case with me. I’m now in my sixties. I have seen through my entire life, God has not abandoned me and where I felt abandoned, He has healed those as I have come to Him and allowed others to help heal in that healing process and that process of deliverance from the lies I believed. Now I know the closeness and the intimacy of God as a Father, and you can too.

God does not abandon us. And in fact, this is the truth: Psalm 37: 23-24, “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall because the Lord holds them by their hand.” God’s delight in you is real. He delights in the things that you do. He delights in every detail of your life. So if you have struggled with abandonment, allow God to heal your heart. Take steps to allow others, people who are trained in inner healing and deliverance ministry to touch that place of abandonment, because it’s not God, it’s the messages of the trauma and the pain and the hurt. It’s not God who has abandoned you. He loves you, and He will bring healing to those places of wounding.

I would like to pray for you. God, for this one who’s hearing this in any place where they have sensed abandonment from people or believe that you let them down, I ask you Holy Spirit, to rush and show them the truth and show them how you have delighted in them and in every detail of their life. Come close to them and comfort them. Meet them in those places where they have been harmed and hurt and bring life and healing to their hearts, to their spirits, to their souls. God bless you.
