John 15:4-5 says, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me, you can do nothing.” Have you ever found yourself trying so hard to make things work, to have plans that you’ve set forth and you just run into barrier after barrier, and it just simply isn’t working the way that you thought or the way that you planned?

Jesus says, “Abide in me, and I in you,”  that apart from Him, we can’t do anything. The word abide means to stay, to continue to be kept, to not depart. So I would encourage you today that whatever God has placed on your heart, whatever plans He has for you, to remain in Him as you walk out those plans. To not depart from Him. To continue speaking with Him. To stay with Him as you work out those plans. There’s fruit in the process of doing things with the Creator who made you.

Lord, we just thank you that you have all of the answers, Lord, you know the plans that you have for us, Lord. And that you are the one who starts and finishes things. So Lord, I ask for our viewers today, Lord, that you just help us all just to stay in you, Lord, to stay connected as branches are to the vine, in Jesus’ name.
