Hello, this is Andrew Wommack and I want to share with you, today, about how you can change your life. You know, most people recognize that where you are is not where you want to be. Most people are not satisfied, they know there is something more. I find, especially, Christians are constantly praying and asking God to change something, to change their marriage, to change their finances, change their health. But they don’t recognize that change begins with the way you think.
Proverbs 23:7 says, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Your life is going the direction of your dominant thought. If you are praying and looking for change, but if you are not changing the way you think, then it is never going to work. I think it was EInstein that said, “It is a definition of insanity to keep doing the same thing and expect different results.” There are many of you know that there is something more than just getting up, going to work, coming home, going to bed, and repeating the whole thing over and hoping that you’ll have enough for retirement and you’ll live your life.
There has got to be more than that. You know there is something more, you are praying for it, but you haven’t changed the way you think. One of the things that has helped me is that the scripture says, “The word of God is like a seed,” Mark 4:14. And 1 Peter 1:23 says, “It is an incorruptible seed.” You know, when you plant a seed in the ground, there is something miraculous that takes place. As a matter of fact, it says in Mark 4, “It is like a man who casts seed in the ground and he just sleeps and rises night and day. He doesn’t know how it works, but the seed brings forth fruit of itself.” Actually it says, “the earth brings forth fruit of itself.” If you look up the words “of itself” up in the Greek, it is the word atomotos, the word we get “automatically” from.
Your heart just automatically starts bringing whatever you plant in it. It starts giving life to it. You can take a fence post and put it in the ground. If you leave it there long enough, did you know that thing will begin to rot and decay? Why? The earth, just plain dirt, has this ability to take whatever is put in it and it starts eating at it and trying to reproduce it and make it work. If you put a seed in it, that ground will just start giving life to it. It is what I call effortless change. You can have effortless change if you will take the incorruptible seed of God’s word and put it in your heart. It will change your thinking and then as your thinking changes, “as a man thinks in his heart, that’s the way you are going to be.” I tell you, this is the way to change effortlessly. It is God’s system. If you meditate on the word day and night, you will make your way prosperous. You will have success.
