Hello, GOD TV family. I am Mark Chironna. I wanted to take a moment on God Today and talk to you about these three simple words: let there be. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void and darkness was over the surface of the deep. The Spirit of God said, “Let there be life.” That word “let: permit, allow” is an effortless word from God’s perspective. The challenge was, there was an issue of darkness. We are told the darkness was being brooded over or hovered over. The picture there is of a mother eagle brooding over her young to bring them to maturity. The spirit was moving, brooding, dancing, vibrating over the darkness.
When we think about the new creation in Jesus, the spirit broods over the depths of our spirit which is like deep waters, Solomon says. There is a lot of stuff hidden in the dark in us. Some of the stuff hidden in the dark we are afraid of, some of the stuff hidden in the dark we are ashamed of, some of the stuff hidden in the dark we feel guilty about, we don’t even know it exists. It is called our untapped potential. In order to get to that treasure of the untapped potential, the guilt, the fear, and the shame have to be cleared away by the love of Jesus. There is a “let there be”, a proceeding “let there be” that continues in the new creation over your life in Christ that is continually driving out the darkness so that wherever the light shines there is an allowing of freedom, healing, deliverance, and release from the brokenness, the barrenness, and the sense of meaninglessness that can easily creep into our day to day lives.
If you want to understand anything at all about Jesus, understand that He loves you. And that He is the Word Himself, made flesh to come to show you the “let there be”. He is the light. He is the way, the truth, and the life. He is light that lights you from the inside out to heal you from the inside out and empower you to become all He intended you to be.
