If you're in a season where you're waiting on God and trying to figure out what to do next, I encourage you to take a risk and see how faithful Jesus is even in your uncertainty.

Hello, my name is Grace Clibourn, and I’m part of the team here at GOD TV. Today I’d love to share with you about faith. There are some seasons in life where God is speaking in incredibly clear, black-and-white ways. And then there are seasons in life where God is showing His faith in us to be able to make decisions on our own.

A few years ago, I was feeling very unsure about where to go next in my life. I ended up applying to a ministry school, but I was unsure about whether it was the right choice, knowing that I didn’t quite have the money. And I had a hard time thinking about leaving home. But in my interview for the school, I was talking to one of the leaders, and I was expressing my concerns with him. And at one point he stopped me and said, “Grace, sometimes faith is spelled R I S K.” We’re not always going to hear the audible voice of God, even though that would be really nice, because sometimes God is showing us that we’re capable of trusting ourselves and the foundation that He has already placed in us.

So eventually I took the risk and I moved to a new city with $300 in my bank account and no job, but within a week I had a job and I never went hungry. I was always able to pay my rent every month. Because of my decision to take a risk, I was opened up to a whole new world that I never knew existed – into the reality that God would catch me every time. So if you’re in a season where you’re waiting on God and trying to figure out what to do next, I encourage you to take a risk and see how faithful Jesus is even in your uncertainty.

I would really love to pray for you. Father, I ask that You would show us how faithful You are to us. Show us that when we are able to take a risk with You, You show up and You catch us every time. Even when we’re not sure, I thank You that You’re always near. You’re always with us. You’re always present with us even in our times of uncertainty. Amen.
