Hi, my name is Joaquin Evans, Senior Leader at Bethel Austin and I’d like to welcome you to God Today. I’d like to talk for a moment just about the reality, this walk with God, it starts in love and it also ends in love. It’s such a foundational part of our relationship with God.
We all know it, but I just, I just want to remind us that it doesn’t just end in love. Yes, when we get to Heaven, we will just be in the fullness of His presence and in His love, but our journey with God actually starts in love.
I want to remind us, John 3:16 tells us, “God so loved the world He sent His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life”. I want us to highlight the fact that it starts with “God so loved the world.” The reason He sent Jesus is because He was madly in love with His people. He was madly in love with His creation. He didn’t just send Jesus to test the waters and to see if we were worthy of God’s love and that’s not what Jesus is doing in your life either!
Sometimes we get caught in this trap that we think we’re working to get God to love us. That’s just a lie that God wants to remove from your mindset and your thinking right now, today! The reality is that He was motivated by love from the beginning. Yes, even when we were dead in sin and our trespasses, even when we didn’t have it all together, that’s the moment where God was so in love with the world that He sent Jesus.
I just want to remind you that wherever you’re at in your walk, whatever you have going on in your life, that God is madly in love with YOU! That in itself is the invitation for you to step through His door of grace, to see change in your life, to see situations reversed, addictions, broken, whatever it is going on.
I want to remind you that you’re not trying to convince God to love you. He’s already madly in love with you. When you put your hand in His hand, He will pull you into His grace to move into the fullness that He has for you. I hope that this revelation blesses someone today.
I just want to pray a quick prayer for you. Father, I pray that You would crash in with the revelation of Your love today. Father, I pray that You would break every place up, every mindset that tries to tell us that we’re working for Your love, that we’re trying to earn Your love God. It’s a lie that we break now! God I pray that you would crash in with Your unconditional love, Father that came before we said yes to Jesus. They empowered us to say, yes, God, I pray that You would empower us not to try get to that place, but to realize that we’re starting from that place. I bless you with that today in Jesus name, amen.
