I would encourage you to stay in that place where you just say, 'God, I've tasted and seen too much to lose my wonder, to lose my first Love...'

Hi everyone. It’s me, Lindy-Ann Hopley, and I want to encourage you today.  I’m looking around the world and so many things are going on that can leave us confused, discouraged, hopeless. I mean, you just have to put the TV on, and you realize why people like John G Lake didn’t allow a newspaper into his house. He decided to spend his time in the Word of God and say this way and no other way. And I want to just encourage you today, that song was coming to my mind, “Let me never lose my wonder, bright-eyed and mystified, let me be just like a child staring at the beauty of our King. Let me never lose my wonder.”

And I was just talking to God about this and like, “God, how do we stay focused on the main thing?” And I remember the Lord just sharing a story with me where my own father, maybe some of you’ve heard this before, if you’re following our ministry, but my own father was actually murdered in his home. And in that moment, I had a choice to make. I had to decide whether I would leave and lose my childlikeness and that wonder, and that being okay with the mysteries and realizing John 10:10 is real. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Not God. You say, “But isn’t He in charge? I thought He’s omnipresent, omnipotent.”  And literally the reality is God has chosen to partner with us. We are made in His image to be ambassadors here, but also to be world changers, to pray, “Lord, let your Kingdom come, let your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven.”  And as we lose loved ones to crimes, murder, mental illness, sickness, cancer, you name it, we need to stay in that place.

And I would encourage you to stay in that place where you just say, “God, I’ve tasted and seen too much to lose my wonder, to lose my first Love, and I’m holding on, no matter what’s happening around me. I know you are good. I know you’re God.”  And as we lead our loved ones to Jesus, guess what? We are going to be spending eternity with them.

So go out there, be a beautiful witness of what God has done in you, through you and what He did for all of us on the cross.  And don’t give up and never lose your wonder. From me, Lindy-Ann. God bless you. Bye-bye.
