Welcome to GOD TV, it’s great to be with you and to be able to share the word of God with you. I am Peter Vandenberg of Christ For All Nations and it’s a real joy to share and to be together with you right now. I have a scripture that’s really traveled with me throughout my entire Christian life and it’s burning on my heart right now and I want to share it with you. You probably know it quite well and I want to read it to you. It’s found in 1 Peter 5:7 and this is what it says in the NIV: “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”
What a powerful word. This is talking of Jesus and it’s Him that’s caring. You know, we use the word ‘caring’ or ‘I care’ in our modern society. I care for a rest, or I care for a hamburger, or I care for a pet and it is quite light. But the use of that word here is much stronger, much deeper. We are talking here about the Son of God, God Himself caring for you. It’s difficult to get a hold of that, but, that’s exactly what it says.
And I love it because if Jesus is saying to you and to me right now, “I care for you,” and He can because He is everywhere, all the time, with everybody – if Jesus says “I care for you,” then you definitely can throw all your anxieties, all your fears, all your misgivings, all your questions, all your doubts upon Him. And in return, what does He do? He doesn’t frown at you or give you a hard time. He just reaches out and takes you in His Hands and cares for you.
I know this works because that’s been my experience with Jesus and I want to encourage you today, cast your anxiety and your cares upon Him and He will hold you in His wonderful, strong and loving hands and care for you today in Jesus’ name.
Now, I want to pray for you right now in this moment. Lord, I thank you that you do care for my friend. Thank you, Lord, that you do it as only you can do it by your Spirit. And I pray that this day, this day ahead, this time ahead would be a blessed time for this person who is reaching out to you right now, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
