You know, the Lord is so about family. And I felt the Holy Spirit propose this question to me the other day, and I just want to throw it out there for you. “Are you building walls or are you setting tables?” Just with the climate of culture right now, it can become super easy to divide over, you know, are you a Democrat or a Republican? Are you pro-life or pro-choice? And just all these different topics that really matter ,and that can be really heavy, I think sometimes we allow the enemy to create division and separation. And I feel like the Lord is inviting us to set a table, where you can create this table where you can bring people with different preferences, and different opinions, and different convictions, and come to the family of God and really just dialogue and begin to build unity.
You know, I feel like as believers, the Lord is just really wanting to call us to a higher place of thinking, where we will not be divided on certain topics and certain issues, but we can hold true to the truth and to our convictions, but really step out into a place of bringing unity and really bringing family.
And so, I’m just going to pray. Lord, I ask that you would really search our hearts, God, and in these things that you’ve called us to stand for justice, you’ve called us to stand for truth, and not cower down to certain things and certain systems. But Lord, I ask that you would just convict us, and just really show us, are we building walls or are we setting tables for people? In Jesus’ name.
